He was born in Develi district of Kayseri in 1979. After completing his primary and secondary education, he continued his high school education in Kayseri High School. After completing his high school education, he continued his undergraduate education at Anadolu Business School.

Having started his professional business life in his family company, Bağlamış Ülbağ et also worked as the general manager of the company, and he succeeded, which he succeeded in a short period of time. In 2011, he worked as a general manager at pir et ve meat products company, and in the same year, he took the Şalvarlı brand into his body and served as the chairman of the board of directors.

He was elected as the Chairman of the Kayseri Commodity Exchange in 2009 and until 2018 served as the president of the parliament for 2 terms. The elections held in April 2018 were elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kayseri Commodity Exchange and still serve as the chairman of the board. In addition, the elections held in the TOBB 74th General Assembly held in 2018 also became the chairman of the Commodity Exchange Council for the first time in the history of Kayseri Commodity Exchange.

Recep Bağlamış is married and has 2 children.
